Inspirations The design process is a constant, photographing, collecting and sketching images that I see around me. The forms and textures of metallic and material objects are an underlying inspiration for my work, together with fragmented architectural details such as chimney pots, railings, peeling paint and the lettering of painted signs. Living and working by the Cornish coast has its influences on my work, during walks on the beach I often pick up shells and sea eroded glass or discover interesting rock pools that have inspired my glazes with their precious glassy feel.
